Tips & Tricks for Researching State Law & Municipal Codes In-Person

Many legal matters are governed by state or local law—not federal statutes. Join us to learn some tips and tricks on how to locate state statutes, administrative codes, and municipal ordinances, and explore tools like 50-state surveys to compare laws across jurisdictions. This session is especially useful for students interested in government work, public interest law, land use, or small firm practice.

As these sessions take place during the lunch hour break, please feel free to bring your lunch along! Plus, don’t forget—attendees will be entered into a raffle for a special prize!

If you did not register in advance, no worries! Walk-ins are always welcome.
